A warning, good dames and masters! The hand of man is lifted against
man, and these last three nights have there been foul murder. The
Guard ask that good citizens not go abroad after nightfall, and to
take care and precaution if such travel is necessary.
A scourge from our past is revisited upon the house of the Webmasters!
The magical virus which once was the main weapon in the Guildwar between
Mage and Webmaster has once again broken loose, here in our fair city.
Curiously, the only death so far recorded is that of a young apprentice
Mage. The virus has perhaps mutated, and could pose a threat to all
weilders of magic. Go then, mages and alike, in caution, and consult a
Healer at the first sign of illness!
Hear the words of our fair Queen Mahala!
"Citizens, much unrest
has followed in the wake of the tragic death of a Mageguild
Apprentice. We would have you know that steps have been taken,
and word given to us by Mage and Webmaster alike that hostilities
have ceased and peace once again flourishes in our land. The word
of men as noble as they is their bond to us, which we hold in
great esteem as evidence of perfect loyalty. Put aside all doubt
and fear, citizens, and know yourselves saved by the oath of
the courageous Guildmasters."
"Further, citizens of Solari, be it known that we are not
unaware of the adverse weather which threatens the crops in our
lands. Surely such a threat is to be taken seriously, but not
to be afraid of unduly. Grain in plenty fills the Crown warehouses,
and will be distributed when need is plainly shown. With crops
not yet sown, all farmers in their wisdom can see that the time
for such action has not yet arrived. We pray daily for kindly
intervention from the Good Mother, and urge all citizens to do
the same - for Solari as well as our neighbors."
Long live the Queen!
