Ruler: High Priest Karalon
Style of Government: Theocracy; The country is ruled by the High Priest of Kenuri (Head of the Priests' Guild), and advised by the Priests of Ceren.
Capital: Kitile
Major Cities: Magen Hollow, Nuan
Culture: By nature, the people of Kenuri are deeply religious. They invest as much time in blessing their crops as working them, and always invoke the appropriate gods for their endeavours. It is not uncommon for each house to have a small shrine, and is unheard of for a lord's keep to be without a private chapel and Priest. However, their devotion to religion does not preclude good common sense, and those who attempt to use religion to take advantage of a Kenurite will soon find themselves in a very disadvantageous position -- usually hanging from a tree limb upside down. Relations with Zuhayr and the Loyen Isles are somewhat constrained by religious differences. These 'theological differences' are largely tensions in the air, as the Zuhayn army and the Loyen navy are rather discouraging. Priests attempt infiltration and while they are allowed to roam and preach, their audiences are non-existent.
Economy: Kenuri is a farming and trading nation, relying on staple products as well as some few fishing fleets. The majority of its wealth comes from two gold mines in the western half of the country, which supply the gold for coin mintage to Solari as well.
Military: The standing army is taken from the merchants and peasants, with the positions of power being held by trained Priests of D'haris, in conjunction with a general of the troops for advisement. There is some naval structure, but not a large one.
Notes: Kenuri has a large elven settlement in the forests on the border with Solari, west of the great lake.
It has often been observed that the merchants of Kenuri are more able to put aside their excessive devotion to the gods than their fellow countrymen.
